I just wish so badly I had a girl to name....

Enough with the pisstake now. If the op is not of english speaking origin, she may not KNOW the meaning of randy, or, she may have an innocent nature and not even thought about it.

Anyway, like a say, it is common in Scandinavia.

Am loving this week's baby name threads

Dragonbutter · 31/07/2008 16:14

yes, i've met two randi's in my time. both in norway.
once i'd gotten over my initial childishness, and realised nobody else found it amusing.
I got over it.

donnie · 31/07/2008 16:29

I prefer Sexi. Or Horni.

Oblomov · 31/07/2008 16:31

Horni. Horni. Horni.

donnie · 31/07/2008 16:32

Oblomov · 31/07/2008 16:37

ChopsTheDuck · 31/07/2008 16:38

donnie · 31/07/2008 16:39

Lusti?
Slutti?

loobylu3 · 31/07/2008 17:51

Oh please don't! She will be teased badly for this. I'm sure you can think of something short but a lot nicer. There are masses of possibilities!

What about:

Ava/ Ada, Beth, Cara, Edie, Faye, Grace, Iris, Jane, Kitty, Lola, Lydia, May, Maya, Nina, etc, etc

Flightputsonahat · 31/07/2008 17:56

Am I really the only one who thinks it could be cool?

Hope OP isn't too upset.

Hecate · 31/07/2008 18:35

don't do it, love!

You condemn her to a lifetime of "Hello, pleased to meet you, I'm Randi."

Terrible thing to do to a person!

girlsallaround · 01/08/2008 14:45

no i'm from north america. had no idea it was a word with sexual connotations over here. good thing i asked!!
it wasn't really going to make it on my list, but i am just feeling bored after exhausting any other name!
who would have though it so difficult to name a third child...

wheresthehamster · 01/08/2008 15:16

Brandi would be better.

Randi - no no no no no no......etc

Comerscroft · 01/08/2008 16:04

We had an oversexed Lakeland terrier that was always randying the kids. If he wasn't climbing up their legs, he was trying to mount them everytime they knelt down to play'

He didn't stay long.

Flightputsonahat · 02/08/2008 09:49

Ooh! Can I have it then please?!!!

nappyaddict · 04/08/2008 01:40

I like it but short for miranda.
