Ds1 doesn't have one.
I do, but dh doesn't.
Expecting ds2.
And ds1 did ask me why he didn't have one the other day.
I just said some people do, some don't. I do, daddy doesn't.
I couldn't give one to ds2 now. How would I explain that to ds1?

Well see I HAD to give my dcs a middle name, simply because I didn't have one (my brother did) and when I asked why, my mum told me that she had enough trouble finding a first name, as she didn't want any girls, just boys.

So BOTH of mine have a middle name, so that they know they're both equally important. (Chippy....me nooooooooooooo?)

DD had a middle name as it was both her paternal grandmothers names.
DS we couldn't decide on, so He has two, both of his paternal grandfathers names.
DS2 has his uncles name.
With all of my DC's the middle name has just been a way of honouring someone important. (my first two their first names were based loosely around someone else too)

Middle names are jolly helpful when it comes to playing Grandmother's Footsteps...
