I quite like (in a perverse sort of way) the way that Marie is combined with feminine versions of boys' names, e.g. I have known a Marie-Paule and a Marie-Pierrette.

PinkPussyCat · 14/07/2008 13:18

Colette?

Bearing in mind a lot of the names suggested tend to be quite "old womany" names in France...just something to think about.

Angelina Jolie called one of her twins Marchelline which is quite pretty.

Odile

pooter · 14/07/2008 16:17

i just love the name Pascale. It means easter though - which doesnt mean anything to me. It also makes me think of triangles but i love it!

castille · 14/07/2008 16:30

Yes branflake - Sylvie, Colette, Dominique, Pascale are very grandma! And Celine, Nicole, Nathalie, Elodie and Laure are getting on for middle-aged. Babette is a derivative of Elisabeth.

Little French girls I know are called:

Jeanne
Emma
Nine
Marine
Lola
Cassandre
Maelle
Eugenie
Clara
Romane
Eva

CharlotteYork · 14/07/2008 17:26

Romilly
Delphine
