Jessica Isobel.......

Does that sound too much of a mouthful even though the Isobel is only really for the birth certificate and the 'what's your middle name'? questions?

It was going to be Jessica Rose which I love but there isn't a Rose in our family and DH wants to honor someone. Both my Grans were Margaret - not keen on that one! His was Isobel???

There are few times in your life when you say your full name out loud.

In this case, you would have to be either really careful when you pronounced the names, or you would automatically insert an "R" in between the names, so it would sound like Jessicarisobel

I think they are both lovely names

i think jessica rose much nicer....

when we decided to call dd harriet, we had to ditch our fist choice middle name elizabeth as too long and went for jane in the end....

BlueChampagne · 26/06/2008 13:45

Presumably Isobel isn't going to create an awkward acronym with your surname ...

knockedup · 26/06/2008 17:50

The acronym would be JIT! So not too awkward I suppose

Naming them is not easy!

I love Margaret. Don't like Jessica. Isabel is ok, but both together too many Ss.

Jessica Rose or Jessica Margaret sound much better.

Margaret Rose with Maggie or Greta or Margot for short sounds totally fantastic.

lardybump · 26/06/2008 19:11

Jessica is lovely and isobel is lovely but not together. Jessica Rose is much nicer.

bluenosesaint · 26/06/2008 21:27

I really love both Jessica and Isobel but as others have said, i'm not keen on them together.

How about Megan as a variation of Margaret?

Jessica Megan?

WendyWeber · 26/06/2008 21:29

I have a Jessica. She is just Jessica (or just Jess, these days). All our kids have only one name - choosing 1 was hard enough
