This cracks me up, it still feels like the 2010s to me, or at least that they were practically yesterday! I appreciate younger people may feel differently. What are we calling boys in this brave new world of 2026?

Agree they seem a bit old fashioned now - bit like calling a girl Lily or Evie. Nothing wrong with them but they should be 20 now, not newborn!

I prefer Henry. With Hal as a shortening, perhaps.

Henry is a great and don't agree with using Harry as a nickname.

Henry is more popular at the moment for babies in England and Wales than Harry. It's 12th most popular name (Harry is 20th, Max 44th).

I'd go for Max as know so many preschool/primary age Henrys. Both really good names though.

How does each sound with the surname?

surname starts with S so the sound of Max runs into the surname a bit

I actually like both but Max is a nickname. Doesn’t necessarily matter of course….

I'd bear that in mind, and search for namesakes.

Max Spencer - Food hall?
