Margot vs Eloise

Which do you prefer for a baby girl? Both rising in popularity/now fairly common. Eloise would be shortened to Elle which I love, but I also love Margot!

Eloise reminds me of the Damned tune

I loved both these names when pregnant but had a boy. I prefer Margo to Margot. There’s also Elise if you are thinking of shortening the name to Elle.

I love them both but why would you want to shorten Eloise to Elle. If you love Elle just call her that.
Someone mentioned that there could be difficulties with the spelling of Eloise but this wouldn’t put me off. You could actually say the same about Margot that I’ve seen spelled without the t

Eloise, just because I know of someone with that name who was fabulous in every way!

Margot autocorrects to Maggot which really puts me off. Eloise is much more elegant

But Elsie sounds like a tiny old cockney lady with a perm and Eloise sounds like a super chic french girl. I know which I’d prefer 🥖🇫🇷⚜️🍷
