Hey!! Currently 5w set on boys name but don't know with a girls! Last name is Lee so sometimes difficult finding one that goes so far we've got Kara, Luna and Nova but open to suggestions middle name will probably be Grace

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sparklinggreen · 10/06/2026 11:54

Not sure about those names

what about classic ones like

Annabelle, Isabelle, elizabeth Victoria, Sophia?

Floppyearedlab · 10/06/2026 11:55

Luna and Nova are dog names

Kara/Cara is nice and Grace is lovely

StationJack · 10/06/2026 12:07

@wadinyade , the only one I like is Cara with that spelling.
Nova is dreadful and Luna a dog's name.

Kara Lee sounds 'carolly' and makes me think of chocolate cake and I don't like chocolate cake .
Nova Lee too novelly
Luna Lee too close to Luna C.

Grace is overused as a middle name and will sound like Bruce Lee.

EnidVance · 10/06/2026 12:11

Grace is so overused as a middle name. If it’s not Rose or May then every girl is a ‘something’ Grace. I’m not sure any of those names go with your last name.

beeble347 · 10/06/2026 12:28

Congratulations OP! Lee is a tricky surname isn't it to try and make sure it doesn't sound too adverby with the first name. I think Nova is pretty but Nova Lee sounds a bit like a medication or maybe I'm imagining it?

Luna is lovely. I've never got the dog's name comments, it's a human name. Chrissy Teigen's daughter is Luna and there's a little Luna at our toddler group.

Some similar to your list that you might like:

@beeble347 , CREATIVE, COSMIC, AND CONTROVERSIAL, ROVER REVEALS TOP DOG NAMES 2025 | The Rover Blog

Luna holds onto the crown as the UK’s most popular dog name for the 5th year in a row, accompanied by a cluster of other astrological names, from Tarot (+612%) and Twinkle (+312%), to Hera (+263%) and Spirit (+109%)

Roomonthe3rdfloor · 10/06/2026 12:39

Nova is my favourite, but I like all 3. I know a few little girls called Luna who very much suit it and are not dogs!

timoteigirl · 10/06/2026 13:30

I think with a short surname you can have a longer first name. I like Tara and Lara more than Kara

Luna and Nova are very trendy. I agree with the above comment about Luna Lee. Stella Lee may be too much as well...

Margarita - nickname Rita? Priscilla Dana
Mirabella or Mira, Milana

Please don't succumb to classic ones like Annabelle, Isabelle, elizabeth Victoria, Sophia if they are not to your taste

StationJack · 10/06/2026 15:14

Isabelle Lee - Is a belly.

Xmasallergies · 10/06/2026 15:24

Clara Lee?

Mumofgirls2017 · 10/06/2026 17:27

I really like Luna Lee. Think it sounds cool and memorable.

Dee51121 · 10/06/2026 19:04

I'd be tempted to go with a three syllable (or more) first name to better flow with Lee as a surname. You could always have a nickname/diminutive for it on a day to day basis.

BoswellTheScribe · 10/06/2026 19:20

Philippa Lee
Alice Lee
Georgina Lee
Annabel Lee
Harriott Lee
Madeline Lee
Juliet Lee

I do get it that there are dogs called Luna, I just don't think it means humans can't have that name 😊 especially if OP likes it.

However, I did once meet a little boy named Rex - now that is (exclusively) a dog name to me!

beeble347 · 10/06/2026 19:56

Also hilariously, friend works with a woman called Twinkle!

BrickProblems · 10/06/2026 19:59

If I had a lovely short surname like Lee I’d want to use something ridiculous like Esmeralda or Ariadne.

JustGiveMeReason · 10/06/2026 20:12

I think all of your names would roll into your surname every time she had to giver her name, and confuse people who would assume her first name was

Karaleigh
Novaleigh

etc.

I would avoid 2 syllable names ending with an 'a' for that reason alone.

My personal taste doesn't like the names either, but that is just an individual taste thing. I suspect you wouldn't like the names I prefer.

KnittyKnotty · 10/06/2026 20:18

I would avoid any name ending with a vowel sound tbh.

LilyLemonade · 10/06/2026 21:50

Sweet names. I think Kara goes best with Lee.

Some other suggestions
Ramona
Aster
Lois
Bryony
Sienna, Sierra
Tamara
Mara
Tabitha
Hester
Ellery
Suki
Zara
Nike

rt36 · 10/06/2026 22:27

We have a Rosa Grace 💕

Giraffehaver · 10/06/2026 22:43

I like Cara. With such a short surname you could go bonkers with the middle name
Evangeline
Mariella
Marianne
Seraphine
Juliet
Persephone
Penelope
Etc etc

ThatMintMember · 10/06/2026 22:43

I think it's better using a name that ends in a consonant so it helps to separate the names rather than having them blend together like Emma Lee.

Evelyn
Maddison
Harriet
Robin

Grace is fine too. Maddison Grace Lee. 3 syllables, 2 syllables and 1 sounds good together. Also middle names often aren't used so has to sound good even with just the first and last name :)

Maddison Lee? A bit close to Addison Lee no?
