Niall, Patrick, Michael, Finn, or Art

Ronan and Oscar are also excellent choices

Love Charlie as a stand alone name, not keen on Charles

I also really like Leo

WimbleOfWombledon · 15/06/2026 00:25

I love the name Joel!

gillybombilly · 15/06/2026 00:45

Congratulations!
Joel gets my vote - I love it.

I like all but Charlie.
Favourite is Ralph 9/10.

Charles 10/10

Not keen on Ethan or Joel. Charlie and Leo are ok. Ralph is great.

Canoodler · 15/06/2026 05:36

Joel is my favourite but it is tricky.
What about Joe?

Thewalrusandthecarpenter · 15/06/2026 06:08

Ralph or Joel

My 4 year old DS has 3 Ethans in his reception class. I’m not sure if that’s just an odd coincidence.

Sparklinggreen · 15/06/2026 09:39

I like Leo best. Ralph is nice too.

what about Theo and Hugo as options?

Giraffehaver · 15/06/2026 22:36

Leo or Joel

Applecrumble92 · 20/06/2026 11:48

Joel or Ralph are my favourites 😊 I dont think either are really popular in uk at the moment, so unlikely to share his name with another child in his class when at school too.

Tonissister · 20/06/2026 11:56

Charlie - fine if christened Charles, but I don't like nicknames as real names. Classic name but not one I love.

Leo - love this

Ethan - dislike this name even though the only one I know is gorgeous in both personality and looks.

Joel - dislike this too - no idea why as I love all the other Jo names: Joseph, Jonah, Josiah, Joshua

Ralph - quite nice, even though the only one I know is a monster. Prefer the Rafe pronunciation

yeeeehoooo · 20/06/2026 14:04

Ralph or Charlie

Myswweetchild · 20/06/2026 14:24

I love Ethan. I taught quite a few late 90s, but I think it's lovely.
( reminds me of Amber, Scarlet - taught a few of them, but still lovely names I think).
Joel is lovely. Mine was very nearly Joel, til a relative mispronounced it ( this is nearly 40 years ago)

Def not Ralph….what about Rafferty or Raphael? Raffy for short.

out of your choices I like Leo the best.

could consider Louis?

what does your surname begin with?

How can Raffy (Riff Raff…) be nicer than Ralph?! I like Ralph - it’s a classic that’s well known but not too overused.
