Cora is the best on the list.
A lot of them are quite nicknamey

I only like Cassie and Edie from your list. Maybe Martha at a push.

The rest I really dislike, especially Marnie.

I think these are all lovely names. Ginny makes me think of Harry Potter. Cassie and Marla are my favourites.

AgnesMcDoo · 08/05/2026 20:41

Edie
Cora
Martha

are gorgeous

AgentPidge · 08/05/2026 20:47

I like Marnie. All the others are fine - perfectly normal names. Heidi seems a bit dated and I've never liked Martha but I don't know why. But no-one is going to say to you WTF were you thinking? about any of them.

StationJack · 08/05/2026 21:10

Marnie - ok
Ginny - no
Cora - no
Edie - no
Heidi - ok
Martha - like
Cassie - my cat.
Marla - don't like

Mumofgirls2017 · 08/05/2026 21:40

i think they are all nice. Favourites would be

Ginny, Edie, Cassie and Martha

ChocolateCinderToffee · 08/05/2026 21:46

I don't really like any of them. A couple are shortened versions of names I do like - Ginevra and Cassandra - but Edie and Marnie are very dowdy, to me.

TallMam · 08/05/2026 21:49

Marnie - cute!
Ginny - no
Cora - no
Edie - mwahhh so so
Heidi - Heidi, girl of the Alps…no
Martha - old fashioned to me, but not in a bad way
Cassie - no, sounds like a dog name to me…or very American Texas girl
Marla - not bad

Dee51121 · 08/05/2026 22:11

I love a Mar name, there's so many good options. I called my daughter one of the names you have on your list and I get quite a lot of compliments about it.

I know a couple of Edies born in the last 2-3 years, so it's definitely one that seems to be growing in popularity. I also like Cora from your list.

I hope you find one that feels just the right fit.

Giraffehaver · 08/05/2026 22:14

Not much love here for Ginny but my gran went by Jinny so I've it. Nice list...nothing to raise eyebrows over

StationJack · 08/05/2026 23:01

Jinny is OK.

user2848502016 · 09/05/2026 00:15

I like Cora, Heidi and Martha

LoudPlumDog · 09/05/2026 14:18

Cora and Heidi, I like, not love but I like them.

RegalDiamondMonster · 09/05/2026 19:10

My favourite is Cassie especially if short for Cassandra.
Cora, Heidi and Ginny ok.
Not a massive fan of the others.

ShetlandishMum · 09/05/2026 19:11

Cora
Heidi
Martha

are nice.

ourSusie · 09/05/2026 19:19

only Cora and Martha are proper names, the others are diminutives of names

Greenknightsuccess · 10/05/2026 00:01

I like Cora, Cassie and Heidi. I could accept Edie and Martha at a push, but I don’t like any of the other names on the list.

Firebird83 · 10/05/2026 16:56

I like Martha
