I've got a Kay, Kerry, Joan, Karen, Margo, Margarita, Muriel, Nora, Pauline & Sonya.
There all cows though so they don't seem to mind. I need names beginning with an O this year if anyone has any ideas.

So funny. How about Odette?

Olive. That was my Grandma's name.

I know children called Mary, Dorothy, Elsie, Mabel, Humphrey, Stanley, Fred, Connie, Penny, Sylvia, Ted, Kenneth, Rita, Albert, Susan, Ronnie, Frank, Sally, Raymond...

I haven't come across anyone under 50 named Keith, Norman, Maud, Mildred, Ethel, Audrey, Leslie, Roger, Gerald, Harold, Wendy, Deirdre, Lionel, Una, Edna, Roy, Glynis, Pauline...

Sorry, realised OP specifically asked about girl's names and I've thrown in some boys!

I'll add in Belinda and Linda and Judith and Theresa too!

I think Linda, Lisa and Christina (Chrissie/Tina) are great names. They'll sound fresh in 20 years. They're not so different to Lina and Nina which get suggested here regularly.

DreamingOfGeneHunt · Today 17:59

There's two Noras in my 7 year old daughter's class!

Is anyone ever called Jane or Mary anymore? Both classic, plain names that were common for hundreds of years and seem to have vanished.

My mother’s friends were Eunice, Beryl and Maureen… can’t see those coming back.

I know a little Mary and she’s great!

BeRedHam · Today 18:19

An Eileen and an Ida are in my granddaughters reception class.

I am Carol and my daughter assures me that my name is now extinct.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · Today 18:19

I know it's a boy's name, but my husband's grandfather was called Horace. I really can't see that coming back. Horatio and Horatia perhaps stand a better chance.

My mum was called Gertrude, born in 1929. She hated it with a passion, and always went by her second name. Dad used to call her it when she annoyed him.

I don't think any name can be rules out for a comeback!

Who would have thought 20 years ago that we'd have baby Audreys, Arthurs and Ediths now?

FarmersWifeOf30Years · Today 18:26

@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g
I like to create a link with my names so if Ivana or her daughter Lenka have a heifer then I think Olga would be perfect, Thanks.

My Nan, who was born in 1909, had neighbours who were sisters called Florence and Gertrude. They went by Flo and Gertie. My mum thought they were horrific names!
