I really really wouldn't call her Ophelia Belle lol.

My daughter has four given names, the last two are Ophelia Belle.....my husband's still not gotten over me giving her that name!

Ophelia Taylor

Ophelia Sophie is my favourite of your ideas.

Ophelia Florence is another suggestion that I really like the sound of.

I voted for Ophelia Ottilie, but also liking Audrey, Eloise and Evangeline.
I would pick Ophelia Ondine maybe? I agree these combos sound bit tongue twisty.

Ophelia Oriana
Ophelia Opal
Ophelia Topaz
Ophelia Beatrice
Ophelia Imogen
Ophelia Cecily

I think Rose would be lovely

Yawn, Yawn, double Yawn. Done to absolute death. Every other girl's middle name.

Yawn, Yawn, double Yawn. Done to absolute death. Every other girl's middle name.

But I have to admit it sounds the best with Ophelia - as with so many names, which is why it is so popular.

It's pretty, it's traditional, it's not overly flowery and it works op.

The other name that used to be used to counter-balance an elaborate first name was Jane. I think that works too.

I just think Ophelia gets OTT very quickly when you add another name.

BeaLola · 01/12/2025 09:38

Ophelia Joy
Ophelia Grace

timoteigirl · 01/12/2025 09:47

I voted for eloise as it flows best. I would instead have a short second name or add a third name. Ophelia Evangeline Fay
Ophelia Fae Adelise

timoteigirl · 01/12/2025 09:48

Don't do Ophelia Undine as that's too much under water....

Haha I also suggested belle! Now you’ve pointed it out, it’s definitely not a good option!

Catpiece · 01/12/2025 10:39

Celia?

scottishGirl · 01/12/2025 11:02

Voted Sophie, the others are all a mouthful..agree with someone else that something one syllable like Jane would work best

LostThestral · 01/12/2025 11:05

Ophelia Marie

I voted for Sophie out of your options, but I think you need a short, simple name to counterbalance the flounciness of Ophelia.

Jane
Kate
Jean
Claire
Lily
Erin
May
Faye

Pranksters · 01/12/2025 11:46

Anything but Rose/May/Grace. Boring, overused. Done to death. Yawn.

Thindog · 01/12/2025 11:48

Ophelia Amelia

I voted for Sophie, but I do agree with others that a 1 syllable name would work better. Ophelia Kate is a lovely suggestion

Badslipperluck · 01/12/2025 14:28

I voted Sophie because it's the only one that starts with a consonant. The vowel names just don't work because you have to put in an 'r' sound.

nightswimming1 · 30/11/2025 21:45

I agree, can’t get away from this association either. Same with Cordelia!

Just go in hard with Ophelia Gertrude

I like Ophelia Kate.

Ophelia Regina?
Looks better than it sounds though.

I agree. For example Ophelia Rottilie.
