Does Jude make you think of Judy?

I really like the name Jude for a boy but MIL said it makes her think of Judy and people would think he was a boy, and now DH does too

Are they mad or is it just me?

I have a Jude (DD) - we lengthen it to Jufediddle - she loves it haha!

My DS is Jude and I LOVE it, unsurprisingly. But everyone always says what a great name. And I haven't met another yet and he is nearly 2.

No. But it makes me think "Hey" and Kids committin suicide cos life id too awful. (Jude the Obscure)

I think of "Hey Jude", "Jude the Obscure", Jude in the Bible, and yes I do also think of it as a nickname for Judith/Judy.

I have a baby Jude and I had the same concerns but I am glad I went with the name as I absolutely love it.
My friends all call him beautiful Jude or Judealicious!!
No-one calls him Judy or says it is a girls name.
