The suggestions are to go with (already we have) The dds first and subsequent names.

Dora
Eliza
Henrietta
Mary
Iris
Anne

Boys on the list are Henry and Arthur but no ideas for girls.

I have a theory that one day dd's names will be in vogue and people will like them

Feel free to say they are hideous, I care not. (skin like a rhino) but I will hunt you down etc...

Daphne!

LadyThompson · 05/06/2008 18:05

LOVING Daphne. I'm expecting a girl but my DP would never stand for Daphne. Same as he won't go for Daffodil either...

Maude is French although in the UK it can be used as a diminutive on Matilda. In fact Henry II's mother was a Queen Matilda known as Maude.

artichokes · 05/06/2008 18:12

I should add that Maude is my top choice for DD2 but I am not sure I will be allowed as DD1's middle name is Matilda.

Comerscroft · 05/06/2008 18:23

Eustace or Ernest for a boy? Or Herbert?

Olive, which is my Mother's name (NOT the same as Olivia!!)

bergentulip · 05/06/2008 18:29

Eva?

Comerscroft · 05/06/2008 18:53

Euphemia is an old Scottish name. Usually shortened to Fay or Effie.

Also Jean, Belinda, Nora.

Lionel, Humphrey, Oswald, Walter for boys.

Rolf · 05/06/2008 20:19

I love the names you've already used .

Agnes
Florence
Clara
Agatha
Edith
Alice
Dorothea

I'm expecting a girl any day now and they are some of the names on my shortlist (but not on DH's, sadly!).
