Sister names for brother Kellan

We have always loved the name Hallie, but does the double L in both names make them too similar? We also like the name Cassie, but not keen on Cassandra. Could you go with Cassie as a main name not short for anything?

Would love any more suggestions for sister names that go nicely with Kellan 😊

Hallie and Kellan is fine. There are two L in each but you don't really hear that when you say them together, try it, Hallie, Kellan.

Cassie is also fine and you don't have to have Cassandra, just Cassie.

MumChp · 15/10/2025 21:19

It's fine. Really no big thing with 2 ll.

Sal820 · 15/10/2025 21:24

Either are good, just go with the one you like best.

Thanks all. I didn't even think about it until someone else mentioned the double L thing and got in my head!

Say 'Kellan and Hallie' out aloud thrice and you will find it a tongue twister.

Cassie sounds less clumsy when said with Kellan.
Cassie is lovely as a full name

Many names go with Kellan...
Celia
Harriette/Harriet
Hermione
Tess
Kate
Anoush
and hundreds more.

Cassie. Not keen on Hallie.

Harriette is awful.

I think Kellan and Hallie are great sibling names!

Kellan? Sounds like a merged "Keenan and kell"

MamaRhi · 17/10/2025 08:56

@CrispsPlease it's Irish, pronounced Kell-an, not Kee-lan ☺️

It’s not really used as a name in Ireland tbh. There are probably a couple but it’s not a traditional Irish name.
There’s no letter k in the Irish language so it must be an anglicisation anyway, but of what name I’m not sure.

Eenameenadeeka · 17/10/2025 09:32

I don't think Hallie works, it does sound like a tongue twister trying to say them together. I do know of 2 girls called Cassie as the whole name.

GoodVibesHere · 17/10/2025 09:36

It could get a bit annoying when you're calling them down to tea, they'll prob both get shortened so it'll be Kel and Hal which sound similar and you'll keep muddling them up when trying to call or get their attention.

wantmorenow · 17/10/2025 09:39

I thought kellan was a anglicised version of cellan, like Rory Cellan Jones so it has the ll Welsh way. 🥺

miniaturepixieonacid · 17/10/2025 14:07

I think Hallie is fine with Kellan. As is Cassie. Both pretty names. If you don't like Cassandra but want a longer name, how about Cassia or Cassidy.
