I don’t understand why an unstressed syllable changes the sound from AH to UH

It just does. If you want to say Amanda as Ah-MAN-dah and Alan as AL-ahn, go ahead, but most English speakers won't.

Think of how people say Anna. They say ANN-uh not ANN-ah.

They say A - Nuh

Schwa is the most common vowel in English, so much so that most native speakers are unaware they are even producing it.

Say to yourself, at normal speed, "I suppose about eleven o'clock would be okay." Pay attention to how you pronounce the 'a' in 'about' and the 'e' in 'eleven'.

The syllable split is Ann-a, /ˈæn.ə/

It's a type of bread that looks similar to what my dog produced after eating the Xmas ham, sorry.

About = Ah bout

Eleven = Ee leven

Uh-muh-laa. Slight stress on the first syllable, main stress on the 3rd syllable.

That is what I heard people with this name and their family say, anyway.

It is pretty.

About = Ah bout
Eleven = Ee leven
I'd say them as uh-BOUT and uhl-EVN
