Rupert as a brother for Freya?

Hi!
Currently pregnant with baby 2, a boy. Our daughter is called Freya, middle name Rose. We've decided to call our son Rupert, middle name Michael.
Just wondering on people's thoughts on whether Rupert goes well with Freya as a sibling name or not? Already know our family are probably going to think Rupert is a bit of a strange name as it is usually old men with this name, or makes them think of the bear, but this is the name we love and have decided on so they will have to get used to it😁 (not sharing until he is born to avoid potential unnecessary/rude comments from them though)
I guess what I'm asking really is that if we met for the first time and I said "my kids are called/ oh and here are my kids, Freya and Rupert", would you think they sound weird together at all? Just curious as Rupert is so different to Freya.
Obviously I am not choosing names to make sure they match/are a set, none of my siblings names are similar style to mine/match mine, nor my partner's siblings or a lot of my family members, it's just names the parents liked. Just want to make sure it doesn't sound too silly when said together!
Thank you😀

Only the OP can know if the name will be unproblematic for her child. I presume you live/mix in Ruperty circles. I quite like the name but will definitely be Roo at school and with friends.

Thanks all for your opinions, very varied!😄re nicknames, we are aware that he'll likely have his name shortened at school/by friends and are fine with it, we just don't personally see the point in naming our child a name and then only calling them by a nickname. To us we may as well just name them the nickname in the first place (e.g. if we named him Theodore but planned on and always after birth called him Theo, we would have just registered him as Theo if planning to call him by that, we don't see the point in giving a name and not using it!). So to us and family (and family friends) he will be called by his actual name of Rupert, but if his future friends call him Ru/Roo/Rupes etc then that's fine too, we understand that kids choose things that are easier. Just personal preference to not use nicknames outside of that context of school/friend groups I guess.
But again, thanks all for your very varied opinions, appreciate them all! 😊

Just a heads up - (A) Rupert is British army slang for an officer. I quite like it though (I've always had upper class traits 🙂)

Exactly this, and not in a “strong leader” context. It means the sort of posh, braying graduate of Sandhurst who hopeless as a soldier. “Woo-pert”

i like the name but it does have wet connotations.

Rupert is a great name and goes well with Freya. As you love it, other people will to.

We have a Rupert (not posh at all). It was very divisive when we first named him. A few family members were baffled and others thought it was lovely. He couldn't be any other name now - he really suits it.

He has had various nicknames from us, friends and family over the years - Roo, Rupey, Rhubarb and my personal favourite Roop Dog!!!!
