Here everybody seems to like Alexander… are there other favourites? So strong? But which are less common?

Agreed Arthur, Lysander have a similar feel. William perhaps? Ted or Ned are good shortenings for the latter. Good names don't tell you what the person is like, because humans don't work like that...which is why some of the traditional names work so well. They can work for all kinds of people.

I think Nicholas and variations have similar vibes, I know a few young Nicos.

I agree, I just feel like it is very “generic”, there is very little “anima” to it. This is my greatest concern. And feeling. Was wondering If it’s like that with others? Or if the parents of Alexander feel that….

@Tkoko as this poster said - "I would say Nicholas, Laurence, Maximilian and Benedict immediately sprang to mind to have similar style to Alexander imo". One of these is my DS1's name and all of the others have been serious contenders for one or both my sons.

We also liked Lucas and Joseph, although those are both at the more popular end.
