Boy names similar to Theo, Hugo, Romeo, Luca?

I really like these type of names for a boy but I don't feel like they're names I'd name my baby.

I'm having a difficult time coming up with boy names I adore and would use for my baby. I want it to sound strong, handsome and cool at the same time.

Could you help me think of similar boy names?

@TheyreLikeUsButRichAndThin , think so. I say Luca as Lou-ka, and Hugo as Hugh-go.

The spelling is similar, but not the sound.

Exactly……. The OP likes Oo and Oh sounds….. That’s literally all I was saying. Luca has an oo sound and Hugo has an O sound. At the end of it. I’m not saying it’s pronounced ‘hogo’. Do you not hear that ‘oh’ sound at the end of Hugo?? I’m so confused by your point. I’m aware they don’t have the same sound 😂

In some cultures, Hugo is pronounced Ooo-go, this may be what the poster was referring to.

@Rockmehardplace , you're over-thinking it. I think she meant something like OP likes names with a oo sound, and shortish 2-syllable names ending in -o.

Looking for a boys name to go with big sister’s name Nora. So far we like Edward/Eddie, Charlie and Finley/Finn but not 100% sold on any of these

PanderBare · 19/06/2025 22:30

They're nice names but you'd probably be better off starting a new thread, @Gemlou1909

Some less ubiquitous -o names:

Apollo
Arno
Laszlo
Lorenzo
Malo
Mateo
Rollo

Also, more classic/familiar than offbeat, but how about Elijah or Joshua?

They both start with the letter A Hmm

I can’t see what other connections there might be, other than they’re both boy’s names!

I was asking how Alexander or Albert fit the row of names Hugo, Romeo, Theo etc..

I have a Hugo but be careful as my northern relatives pronounce it Yew-go 😆

I like Rufus
