Sibling for Matilda & Jemima. Any other suggestions? Find boys names incredibly hard.

They are all good names!

I voted for Ivo, since I know a very kind man with that name, pronounced that way. He is in his 80s.

Joolsin · 06/04/2025 22:09

I love Bram and Ivo - two phenomenal names, but would pronounce the latter Ee-vo rather than Eye-vo. On balance, I think Bram goes slightly better with your girls' names.

Holiday24 · 06/04/2025 22:10

I like Rufus and Ivo. Not such a fan of Bram!

Calliopespa · 06/04/2025 22:15

I’ve never heard of Bram other than Bram Stoker so it’s got a slight gothic horror vibe to me. 🧛

I went with Ivo which I think sits well with your girls’ names.

Ellmau · 06/04/2025 22:16

I love Rufus, dislike Bram, and Ivo is OK but feels like it's trying a bit too hard.

BoleynMemories13 · 07/04/2025 09:40

Ivo goes the best.

Evan has a similar vibe, with the stress on the v sound, if you like that? Rupert goes better with the sibset than Rufus.

Bram just reminds me of bran. It's not a nice sound. Do you like Bryn?

pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs · 07/04/2025 09:44

Oooh, we seriously considered both Bram and Ivo for our twins. Others on our list you might like:

Joss
Bruno
Rafe
Gus
Leif
Magnus
Gilbert
Conrad

You have lovely taste OP - I especially adore Bram so voted for that. I’m never sure why it is so underused when Sam and Adam are so popular. Same with Ivo - why so underused when Leo, Theo, Arlo, Milo etc are everywhere.

I must admit though in terms of matching your girls names, I think Rufus possibly works the best - similar popularity level as Jemima and same “well known but slightly quirky” vibe.

Bramble is sweet and nature atuned.
Bram - meaning Abraham is Biblical
Rufus seems playful.
Ivo (EE-voh) is yew tree.

Matilda, Jemima and ..
Rufus is best for me, particularly if the child will have warm coloured hair..
Rufus seems easiest to say along side the other names.

Others ..
Rupert
Roland
Olaf
Rafferty

Our friends have an Evan so keen to not copy, but I do like it. Not keen on Bryn and I think Rupert (although I do like it) might roll a few eyes where we live (To be fair, Rufus might too) 🥴
