Opinions on the name Noel

I posted a threat on here yesterday asking for opinions on the name piper, and I think it’s fair to say it is a very marmite name! 🤣

I am not finding out the gender of my baby, so I’m trying to pick a top girl and a top boy name for when little one is born - which is proving difficult so sorry if you see a lot of threads from me in the coming months!!!!!

I like Noel for a boy at the minute- however I don’t think I LOVE the name. I’m still waiting to find a name that wows me. What’s everyone’s opinion on Noel?

My name is Holly and I’m not sure is a Noel and Holly is too Christmassy / cringe (baby is due in August ) I haven’t picked it for any theme sort of reason and I’m not sure if people will automatically assume that I have?

Noel is in late middle-age, blows his nose with a lot of trumpeting and flourishing of handkerchief, and wears unattractive beige jumpers bought by his mother.

The only people called Noel /Noelle I've met were all born at Christmas. Be a bit weird if your baby was born in July.

I love the name Piper, this was a name me and my partner considered if we were to have a girl.

Did you use to watch Charmed OP? Was just wondering if you knew the actress who played Piper, her real name is Holly. Curious if you were choosing the name due to the link.

What about Leon, all the same letters as Noel, just backwards?
