I had a dream last night about looking after a baby called Rua. He was beautiful and he needed a mum. I woke up crying! I'm well well past having a baby and not at all woo, but the dream has made me a bit giddy. Does anyone want the name? It means two in Māori and I think red in Irish Gaelic.

Dreams can mean all kinds of things. Dreaming about having a baby doesn't mean you want one it's more likely to symbolise a new beginning in some area of your life.

Someone may want the name Rua but just to note that it doesn't mean red in Irish, that's dearg,

Rua is a word for red in Irish. It refers to red hair (gruaig rua), the fox (madra rua - literally red dog). It's a shade of red, not pillar box red.

Yes, and it was usually added to names in a nickname-like fashion rather than being a given name. So somone called Eoin who had red hair might be called Eoin Rua informally (so Red John/Red-haired John). It was especially useful in the past when there were fewer names commonly used than there are now.
