Joel or Jude

My final post ever about baby names. Driving myself insane trying to choose between these two names. Worried about Jude being over popular at the moment and worried about the pronunciation issues with Joel. Other than that I love them both! Please help me decide so I can put my mind at rest!

I know 6 Jude’s under 3 atm. I vote Joel

I strongly prefer Jude. Joel is nothing-y to me and I find the sound of it unpleasant -rather like jowl. Joe is better but would have people thinking he's a Joseph.

I'm the opposite - I don't like the long 'oo' sound in Jude.
