AR

I like both but since I know 3 Arthur's under 1 and no Rowan's under 1 I would go with Rowan Arthur

Moreteaandchocolate · 14/11/2024 17:19

Arthur Rowan is my favourite 🤩
Rowan is lovely but a bit unisex for my personal taste

Scutterbug · 14/11/2024 17:21

Arthur Rowan

RuthW · 14/11/2024 18:04

Rowan is too girly. Arthur is nice but oh so popular.

Nicebloomers · 14/11/2024 18:28

Arthur Rowan is lovely

sel2223 · 14/11/2024 19:08

Of those combinations, Arthur Rowan sounds better but I do also like the name Rowan.

The only Rowans i know are little boys.....or Rowan Atkinson....I wouldn't consider it a 'girly' name at all

Firsttimebabymummy · 14/11/2024 19:20

Both lovely.
Personal preference is Rowan first.

FayCarew · 14/11/2024 19:21

What's the surname? Watch the initials. ART is better than RAT Smile

jackstini · 14/11/2024 19:25

Rowan Arthur
Or Rohan Arthur

Attelina · 14/11/2024 19:29

Arthur Rowan

FayCarew · 14/11/2024 19:30

He'll be Rowan Surname or Arthur Surname. If your surname is something like Kershaw, Rowan will get teased.

mathanxiety · 14/11/2024 19:34

Rowan Arthur flows really well.

The Rs run into each other with Arthur Rowan.

Daisybuttercup12345 · 14/11/2024 19:37

Rowan Arthur.
Unless your surname begins wit a letter T.

Must be a regional accent thing as where I'm from the 'R' on Arthur would be almost silent

It's more like Arth-eh

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 14/11/2024 19:49

Rowan Arthur. I love a nature name anyway and Rowan has a nice sound (similar to classic Owen). Arthur is okay but I’m not sure I’d risk the nn Art/Artie as I don’t think it’s very nice personally.

user2848502016 · 14/11/2024 20:29

I think both are lovely. Rowan a little more unusual probably so less chance of there being another one in his class when he starts school!

EmiliaRuusuvuori · 14/11/2024 20:33

Rowan Arthur is nicer and flows better.

YourDenimUser · 14/11/2024 20:38

Arthur is nicer (and less likely to be misheard for Roman with an M (Roman has become So popular in last few years))

BoleynMemories13 · 15/11/2024 06:09

Both are nice name individuals, so I would consider the flow and initials with the surname.

MerryMarys · 15/11/2024 06:38

Rowan Arthur flows much better

I don't like the sound of both Rs running into each other with Arthur Rowan

Potentiallyplausible · 15/11/2024 07:27

I really don’t like either. Rowan is a girl’s name to me - I only know girls called it. Arthur is just a bit dreary.

Are you in Scotland? While as a nature name it is unisex, Rowan is definitely more popular for boys elsewhere in the UK than for girls.

HairyToity · 15/11/2024 09:33

Both nice names. Keep saying the first name with surname, and go with the one that sounds best.

Only in your accent.

Arthur Rowan sounds like Arthur Owen.
