Which do you prefer or dislike the least?

OP posts:

To answer your actual question, OP, I prefer the first two and dislike Barney the most. Probably Jackson first and then Jenson

They’re names for a chocolate lab 🥴

Out of the three, I prefer Jackson.
That's prob coz of an old disaster movie where the son (refuses to call his dad "dad") calls his dad "Jackson.
I liked the actor that played the part of the dad...
Sorry I can't remember the film, but the actor is John Cusack.

2012 great film!
Thank you Speculating Roots…
yes it was, you really have to forgive all the “near misses”, it’s almost funny.

Manchesterbythesea · 05/11/2024 08:50

Sorry but they are all hideous.

DaisychainXYZ · 05/11/2024 09:14

Jenson and Jackson are 'naughty boy' names.
How about Jack?
Barney suits a young child not so much after that .

Newterm · 05/11/2024 09:16

Barney. The other two are horrid

SatinHeart · 05/11/2024 09:26

I really wanted to call DC2 Barney (Barnaby on bc) but DH vetoed it!

Jackson is ok but quite popular round my way (and Jack is super popular). I don't really like Jenson tbh.

randoname · 05/11/2024 09:29

Honestly OP, they’re not great.
As pp have said the first two have naughty boy vibes and Barney is a dinosaur.

There's a sibset of these names in my son's school. Their mum made the exact same joke to me about them being 'the naughty boys'.

OP, I'd go for Barney or Barnaby.

CrazylazyJane · 05/11/2024 09:46

@blackrabbitwhiterabbit Same. All three names are off my list due to teaching boys who have been 'spirited'.

If it must be one of the 3 then Jackson gets my vote but it is a surname really.

Needanewname42 · 05/11/2024 09:50

One issue with surname type names as first names, it can be confusing to people which way round the names actually go.

Ie, is it Jackson Jenson, or Jenson Jackson, where Barneby Jenson is fairly obvious.

Isitreallythiscrap · 05/11/2024 09:52

Jackson and Jenson sound chavvy to me, Barney sounds like a bear. None are nice imo.

lighthouse26 · 05/11/2024 11:03

Jenson. I have a Jenson so pretty bias. It was the only name we liked for him.

nocoolnamesleft · 05/11/2024 11:07

Jenson screams Supernatural fan. Jackson is a surname. Barney is fine for a child but not great for an adult.

RogueFemale · 06/11/2024 12:58

Dislike all of them so couldn't vote.
