Think we’ve finally settled on Maya but struggling with a middle name. No family names we could use really. Want to avoid Grace/Rose.
I suggested Maya Isabelle and Maya Olivia but husband not keen.
Any suggestions?

Maya is the Sharon and Tracey of this era.
Naise has been the best answer so far, just brilliant.

I agree that a one syllable name not ending with another “a” works best, as pps noted, eg Maya Jane , and other single syllable names suggested above .
(Or a much longer name eg Elizabeth)
Maya Ruth
Maya Eve

I disagree, although I do think Ruth works.
The Jane, Rose, Grace, Anne, Lynne, Clare, Hope, Faith, Joy type middle names seem twee and with a name like Maya you need a stronger sound.
Maya Anne sounds like Myerann and Maya Eve like Myereev in many accents.

My-ah

I’ve seen people on here pronouncing it May-ah but I’ve never come across that before and everyone I know says My-ah

Ma-yah is the Indian/South Asian pronunciation. It means illusion.
