It's new to our list.

Emery for a girl, nickname Emmy. I also like Emma, but know too many my age and older.

Would you pick Emery or Keira? Others on the list are Phoebe, Sophie, Ruby, Everly, Isabella "Bella", Poppy and maybe Emma.

I have an Emma and we've met maybe one or two in her 8 years. It was hugely popular in the 80s but not so much now.

Just no!

MyBrownEyedHandsomeBoy · 30/10/2024 20:31

Going against the grain here but I like it op

And I personally actually never use the world emery board I always say nail file anyway

She is your baby and up to you what you name her and I've heard much much worse names.. one which always sticks in my mind being Labia 🤭 and another one being Blade 🥴 ouch

Emery board...

Emma is much nicer

Makingchocolatecake · 31/10/2024 07:43

I really like it but feel bad that the child would spend most of her life correcting people that she is not called 'Emily'

Anisty · 31/10/2024 08:04

Sorry. I don't like it at all - it's an Emery board.

HoratioNightboy · 31/10/2024 16:07

I quite like it OP, and have seen it spelled Emory in some older records. It was a unisex name in mediaeval England, and the Latin form for girls was Emeria, if that's an option for you.

As in emery board? Its a no from me, but what about Emmeline? Nn Emmy?

Exactly what I thought.

Hmm, not sure. Slot is much nicer. Or how about Arteta?
