Looking for unisex names for a boy/girl. I'm currently pregnant with my 4th baby with my husband ( our first together) but have 3 girls to previous relationship.

My girls names are
Aimee (19)
Laura (17)
Grace (9)

We're planning on keeping the sex of the baby a surprise until baby arrives❤️We're looking at names already seeing as I'm 15+weeks. ( scan this thursday). So could be further on😆.

2 names we like so far .
Sonny
Casey
Husband liked Teddy but I'm not a fan!

I'd just choose 2 names, 1 boy and 1 girl.

I don't mind unisex names, but as your other 3 kids have very feminine names, it would be a bit strange to choose something like that for your 4th child!

We're not finding out the gender of baby. So would like to have a name picked for arrival hence why we would love to hear some unisex names :) x

Why unisex though? Why not just pick out a boy name and a girl name, and announce the name with the birth announcement?

I know Vivian and Evelyn are unlikely choices these days but still! They're true unisex names and might make a comeback for boys

Also Hilary

I wouldn't have 3 daughters with girls names, then a much younger half sibling with a unisex name.

why does this one need a unisex name when the others clearly didn't, unless you knew the sex before they were born? But why not have a boys name you love & a girls name you love & give them a name you actually love instead of a unisex name that's 'ok' & has the potential to be a pita their whole lives??

whats wrong with

Absolutely nothing wrong with me 🤣. I'm pregnant and wanting a unisex name for my baby. That can be used for male and female. Obviously we have a list of girls and boys name but just asked for suggestions for unisex names. Not committing a crime. And yes I knew the sex of my babys before I gave birth.

So instead of choosing two decent names you will pick one meh name? Unisex names are always a bit better for one sex than the other. I think the issue of you having 3 girls with classic girls names and then one called Sonny is asking for trouble.

Apologies should have popped the Female spelling. Sonnie/Sonny
Chris is DH name and he's absolutely dead cert on not using it
My name is Sam (samantha)🤣 and Iam Not a huge fan of my name either x

Both you and DH have neutral names, neither of you seem very happy with them, yet you're considering a neutral names for your baby????

BaronessBomburst · 15/10/2024 15:30

Sacha
Although to be fair I agree with many of the comments about unisex names.

But why??? Why do you specifically need a 'unisex' name just because you aren't going to find out the sex before birth?
It doesn't make any sense.
