  1. Sienna - Love. Not yet met one but above comments suggests it's trendy?
  1. Arabella and Isabelle- nah. But I don't like Belle / Bella names, personally
  1. Lena or Elena .. I like Elena a lot! Pronunciation could be an issue?
  1. Savannah.. Love. I like longer names.. prefer Samantha as more Classic ans slight softer sounding
  1. Ruby.. nah. I know too many dogs called this

  2. Alana .. I prefer Elena as I just see 'Alan'

  1. Dorothea.. Love. I like longer names
  1. Harper ... nah, you have much nicer names listed

Samantha. YES! Classic

Juliette As above!

Celia looks unfinished.. Cecilia maybe?

Josie. Would need to be Josephine for me but YES

Cassidy/Cassandra. I really like Cassandra, nn Cassy. Uncommon but well known.

Sadie.. nah
Camille 19. Genevieve 20. Gabrielle. Nah

my favourites would be Samantha, Juliette, Cassandra, Josephine and Savannah.

  1. Sienna - I just really dislike this. Perhaps irrational, but I just do. 2. Arabella both OK, but overused imho Isabelle 3. Lena or Elena I think these are ok 4. Savannah same as Sienna 5. Ruby I have a soft spot for 6. Alana I love this and considered for my dc 7. Dorothea- love it, really sweet and versatile 8. Harper - a Beckham 9. Samantha - 80's 10. Juliette ok 11. Celia cute 12. Josie really lovely, but I would use Josephine 13.14. Alana Cassidy/Cassandra ok 17. Sadie pet name 18. Camille - lovely 19. Genevieve lovely, also versatile 20. Gabrielle are you OK with the dollhouse association?
Viviennemary · 21/09/2024 23:09

Harper - totally dire

Rest are fine. Not keen on Sadie. I like Ruby and Celia best

ZippyDenimBear · 21/09/2024 23:11

I hate Dorothea, sorry. Really heavy and ugly sounding.

Lots on here seem to like it tho! Good job we're all different...

isthesolution · 21/09/2024 16:54

Alana. Cos it makes the list twice. And it's lovely.

I think this is significant too. I like Ruby best from your list.

Elyalbert · 21/09/2024 23:15

Sienna - yes
Arabella - no (trying too hard to be posh/stuck in the 1970s)
Isabelle - yes, but prefer Isabel or Isobel (less unnecessarily frilly)
Lena or Elena - yes and yes
Savannah - no. Sounds downmarket, sorry.
Ruby - yes
Alana - yes
Dorothea - yes
Harper - no. Reminiscent of Harpies - plus sounds downmarket, sorry.
Samantha - yes.
Juliette - yes, but prefer Juliet (cleaner and less fussy looking)
Celia - yes.
Josie - yes
Cassidy - no (you guessed it: too downmarket)
Cassandra - yes
Sadie - no: Sexy Sadie, sadist
Camille - no, too close to camel
Genevieve - yes
Gabrielle - yes

NoGwenItsABoxingDayTrifle · 21/09/2024 23:17

Mumofgirls2017 · 22/09/2024 21:54

Dorothea
juliet

also like Cassandra and Sadie 🥰

BurbageBrook · 22/09/2024 22:16

Celia or Sienna.

TempsPerdu · 23/09/2024 22:53

A very eclectic list OP! I'd ditch most of the faddier/trendier options, some of which are likely to date badly, and keep Celia, Dorothea and Camille - all elegant and underused. Josie too, if you're using it as a nickname for Josephine. Juliet is also lovely, but I only like the more streamlined spelling as I find Juliette too frilly/fussy.

rainingsnoring · 23/09/2024 23:12

My favourites are: Celia, Camille and Juliet (much prefer this spelling). I also like Genevieve very much and Isabel/Isobel (prefer these spelling as less fussy) and Elena.

Catlord · 23/09/2024 23:13

No particular order but I like Elena, Sadie, Celia
With slight tweaks: Juliet, Josephine, Dorothy

Genevieve is ok but verging on too fussy

Don't like the others.

CherryValley5 · 24/09/2024 05:59

Sienna & Harper are the only ones that I really like out of your list. Cecilia and Cecily are both gorgeous, much nicer alternatives to Celia. Same with Isabel rather than Isabelle (which feels too frilly).

Catlord · 24/09/2024 08:18

Oh yes, Isobel is lovely. Nicer than versions with added frills. Also like Cecily or Cicely but not Cecilia.

I do think there's frilly names are ok but think 'get to the point'. The most pared down version is usually by far the most elegant IMO, Alice Vs Alicia (although that isn't super fussy) or Georgia Vs Georgiana for example.

deliwoman1 · 24/09/2024 09:53

I like Dorothea, Sadie, Josephine (not Josie), Genevieve.

lavenderjump · 24/09/2024 15:34

Elena, Celia, Alana or Sadie

Clockoff · 07/10/2024 21:41
