Can I?
For the obvious connection Adam and Eve?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ha ha no!

Imperfectionist · 19/09/2024 16:30

Yes! I love it! It would make me feel happy if I ever met these siblings in real life and will raise a smile whenever people hear it. I’m really not being sarcastic.

No more out there than four siblings named Saint, Psalm, North, Chicago.

Gosh no. It's like Mary and Joseph, the married couple on my street 😆

I'm Mary and this is Joseph, but we've got Cheryl, not Jesus

Uricon2 · 19/09/2024 16:36

Way back in my family tree are twins Mary and Joseph (b. Christmas day) but I think Adam and Evie is pushing it much too far.

I think Marcus goes well with Evie. Or how about Simon, classic name like Adam that is due a resurgence?

RisingSunn · 19/09/2024 16:37

No you can’t! 😂

No, best look for something else.

I knew a Cash and Carrie.

Curtainsformeplease · 19/09/2024 18:04

It would be Evie and Adam though

I bet EVERYONE will call them Adam & Evie and not the other way round

Oh. Usually I say that people are overthinking on these sorts of threads, but you’re not. Adam and Evie. No you can’t, unfortunately.

This. You are not over thinking this one, it’s a no go. Adam and Ev(i)e, Mary and Joseph etc are beyond pop culture, there’s a big chance people are going to comment. Plus a famous lovers link for siblings is a bit odd to boot.

I would have said previous posters example of Bill and Ted (William and Edward/Theodore) was fine though- those are two friends in a (non controversial) film that many people won’t have even seen. No big deal for siblings.

ViaRia01 · 19/09/2024 22:51

@PurpleChrayn what’s a squelchy name..?

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 19/09/2024 22:52

Aaron instead? Very close to Adam but since it’ll be said usually as Evie and Aaron I think you can get away with it.

Or Owen, Ethan, Liam, Maxim, Dylan? Is it the sound or the classic feel of Adam you like OP?

This was me and I decided I couldn't live the rest of my life under the shadow of people saying "totally bogus, dude" whenever I introduced my kids. That's a me thing though, ymmv!

sel2223 · 20/09/2024 19:07

Sorry OP, it's a hard no

DramaLlamaBangBang · 20/09/2024 19:15

Yeah, no! As others have said, it's not something people will forget about by the time the kids are in school. My D nephew is Adam. Just the name runs very easily into adamand... His sister is not Eve, is older than him but it's still Adamanddniece to everyone! Also there is a chance you may be thinking they sound good together just because of subconscious name associations.

wafflesmgee · 20/09/2024 19:16

Nope

mnahmnah · 20/09/2024 19:17

Just as an aside, I once taught a class that had an Adam, Eve and Eden in it! I sat them together on the seating plan and they loved it. They even insisted on staying like that for the year 😂

Hah! 🤣it’s just interesting to me as I have a William - and Edward is on my list if I do have a second DC. I’ve heard of quite a few William and Edward siblings and I don’t think the Bill and Ted thing has ever come up (probably as most William’s get Will now instead of Bill).

blackoverbillsmothers · 20/09/2024 20:59

No. I wouldn’t.
I know a couple called Adam and Eve.
i always refer to them as Eve and Adam but most people don’t.
