NOAH or OSCAR, which one would you choose

not me but for a friend

she is due to give birth any day and is convinced it is a boy, these are the two names she loves but she cant decide between them.

she cant use them both as she wants to give her dads name as a middle name.

she has a normal plain last name and her dad has a normal plain name as well, which one would you go for.

the friend is question is really close to my parents as we have known each other for years, i could see my mum biting her tongue when she was told the two names

my mum comes from a tiny little village and they have never known anyone with either name.

Like them both, but my friend has a dog called Oscar, so it would have to be Noah.

Both lovely but Oscar just beats Noah for me, as it's not got the biblical conotations (and I LOVE Oscar the Grouch - and it's not like the nation's children are all glued to Sesame Street nowadays, so unlikely to become an issue!).

Since BabyDragon shouts "Noah!" whenever she disagrees with my suggested behaviour, I'd go for Oscar. I used to like Noah but it's put me right off!

ds1 (10) is Oscar I still love it although he has become osk to most of his friends now.

Oscar has been more popular for longer. Noah is popular just recently.

If I had to choose between only these two I would go with Noah I guess.
