Definitely not Margaux. It's Margot. Or sometimes Margo.

Margaux is in the same league as Chardonnay.

Many of the names suggested don't strike me as being 'sophisticated' or 'old money'.

The posh people I’ve known were called Charlotte, Janet, Bridget, Rachel, Philippa, Fiona, Crispin, Timothy, Alastair, Jonathan, John.
