Tell me you’re not thinking of calling your baby Reo

I’d go with Ree-oh to rhyme with Leo but would be thinking Speedwagon Grin

TheCultureHusks · 24/07/2024 14:50

Ms Speedwagon, we meet again 🤣

Rach0104 · 24/07/2024 14:51

Yes, I am :) I met someone with the name with that spelling a few years ago and really loved it!

Well, how did they pronounce it? Surely that's the way you want. People will remember once told.

SirChenjins · 24/07/2024 15:30

They will spend the rest of their lives correcting people they've just met though.

JimNast · 24/07/2024 15:41

Call him Oreo instead so you can be justifiably accused of taking the Biscuit

Firsttimebabymummy · 24/07/2024 15:45

I know a Rio and would pronounce the same, to rhyme with Leo

deliwoman1 · 24/07/2024 20:08

I’d probably alternate between the two pronunciations until corrected if I’m honest. I don’t want to pronounce this to rhyme with Leo for some reason. Feels wrong, maybe because I know Rio is pronounced like that?

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 25/07/2024 22:47

I'd pronounced it to rhyme with Leo..... but I pronounce Leo as "Lay-oh"!

Aquamarine1029 · 25/07/2024 22:52

His name is Reo and he dances on the sand.

Bandina · 27/07/2024 01:53

Makes me think of Neo from the Matrix so I'd go straight to Ree-oh.

MirandaBlu · 27/07/2024 05:10

First guess would probably be to pronounce it like the Spanish-language girls' name Reo (REY-o, with slightly rolled "r") - so more like r-ay-o than r-ee-o.
