I would appreciate your thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
KirstenBlest · 14/06/2024 19:56

@BobbyBiscuits , I like them too.
Morfudd is nice, and it's pronounced Morr-vith (th like in 'the')
Morgan is a boy's name to me.

BobbyBiscuits · 14/06/2024 19:58

@KirstenBlest I like Morfudd, but would fear everyone mispronouncing it. Yeah, Morgan is more a boy name for me too.

AngelDelightButNotStrawberry · 14/06/2024 20:20

Demi if I was forced to choose but tbh they’re both awful.

TupperwareHoarder · 14/06/2024 20:24

I've always thought Demi is an odd name. Nobody would call their child Half!

Morgan is nicer for a boy IMO but it's miles better than Demi.

Namechanger385u4p · 14/06/2024 20:30

Morgan - but it's dated and i would not wish to be called either

Demi Lovato and Demi Moore are both Demetria, which I think is nice.

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 14/06/2024 20:34

Both a bit too American too.

Moreteaandchocolate · 14/06/2024 21:15

Morgan feels more of a boy name to me. Demi isn’t my favourite but I think it’s the best of the two.

KirstenBlest · 15/06/2024 12:44

@BobbyBiscuits , it might be why it isn't used much. Buddug is lovely but hardly used, possibly for the same reason.

BobbyBiscuits · 15/06/2024 13:09

@KirstenBlest that's another nice one. But it looks kind of weird written down. Some Irish names are also lovely but also very hard to pronounce!

SiobhanSharpe · 15/06/2024 13:15

Morgan is a dog's name, I have known several (small, yappy ones.)
If you want to use Demi why not take the full version, Demetria. It's a lovely name.

KirstenBlest · 15/06/2024 13:52

It doesn't look weird at all, and it's easy to pronounce if you speak Welsh. Smile

At least they don't get mainstream with the 'English' pronunciation. (Kate-lyn, Bethun etc)

Purplecatshopaholic · 15/06/2024 13:56

Not a fan, sorry. Morgan is the better of the two - Demi is reaaaally dated.

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 15/06/2024 14:06

Of those choices - Morgan

Orphlids · 15/06/2024 14:55

Morgan is great, super Arthurian association. Not keen on Demi.

miniaturepixieonacid · 15/06/2024 17:54

I absolutely love Morgan for a boy. I don't know why I don't love it for a girl - it is the same name! I still quite like it though.

Less keen on Demi but the only one I know is lovely so it does give me positive vibes.

NewDogOwner · 15/06/2024 18:23

Demi - reminds me of The Exorcist . Both are terrible. Someone above suggested Morven which is nicer.

HahaBooHiss · 15/06/2024 21:37

I love Morgan tbh, and by extension Morgana, Morven, Morwenna etc.

JumpstartMondays · 15/06/2024 21:38

Neither. I'm rewatching Dexter at the moment so definitely not Morgan 😆 Demi is awful.

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 15/06/2024 21:39

For a a boy or girl?

Demi means half in French

Morgan sounds like a car

Ikeameatballs · 15/06/2024 21:39

Morgan, by far!

Wallywobbles · 15/06/2024 21:52

Can't understand why you'd call some half.

RogueFemale · 16/06/2024 02:09

American is my first thought. Demi Moore, Morgan Freeman or Fairchild, etc. No positive associations.

MariaVT65 · 16/06/2024 02:17

PurpleChrayn · 14/06/2024 19:34

Chav names.

Glad someone else said it before me, sorry.

urbanbuddha · 16/06/2024 03:48

Demi
