Would Theodora work in both Spanish, English and Greek?
Im really starting to like it, and keep coming back to it.

Although I don't generally like names that can be shortened, however I do like the option of Dora. It sounds really cute with surname too.... Can't say anymore than that as too outing.

Would it go with Noah?

Other options currently are Sofia, Lucia and Athena - however not sure Athena works in Spanish?
Really like Alba but unfortunately surname begins with B, so I really don't think it's going to work.

Theodora is absolutely beautiful and I love the nickname Dora! It goes perfectly with Noah too

Theodora will be roughly 'Tayodorra' in Spain

Yes, it depends if it will bother you that the ‘th’ will be a ‘t’, I suppose?

I like it, but am not keen on Dora (we had a Christmas tree Angel growing up who was known as ‘Dopey Dora’ because of her expression). I like Thea.

Clueless2024 · 29/05/2024 19:14

I love it. Thea for short. Or teddy if you are so inclined

RogueFemale · 30/05/2024 00:49

It works really well as a multi-cultural name and is also really pretty. I like it! (and I wasn't expecting to, as I don't like Theo/Theodore for boys).

LiterallyOnFire · 30/05/2024 00:50

Thora could be alternative, if you don't like names that can be shortened.

Spanishsenorota · 30/05/2024 23:52

Anyone else?

I think it's a very pretty name, I have known a Theo and a Teo who I presume are both Theodoras. It might be said differently in different countries, til people know the pronunciation, either 'Th' or a hard 'T'.

GreenAnderson · 31/05/2024 00:12

Love Theodora in English - I'm not Spanish or Greek, so can't answer for that. But it's a great name.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 31/05/2024 00:16

I love it! I would automatically pronounce it with a hard T in English though, not sure if it would annoy you if some people did that initially. Thea is a pretty nickname too.

SnowFrogJelly · 31/05/2024 00:29

Doesn't go with Noah

NetMum2 · 31/05/2024 05:15

I’m not sure Noah and Theodora go together as well as your other name choices. If I’d had a girl she would probably have been Sofia - it’s a lovely name. Lucia and Athena are too! I think Theodora is my least favourite because Theodore/Theo is so popular for boys at the moment. I do love the nickname Dora though. Wondering if you’ve heard of the TV show Dora the Explorer…
