Another who thinks it will be fine. It wouldn't even have crossed my mind that they were both French names.

There are still people who pronounce Louis as it’s spelt Lou-is . So if that’s how you will pronounce it will appear less French. When I was at primary school there was a Louis , his name was pronounced as it was spelt Lou-is so that plays a role

In France, it is spelled Margaux.

Outside of France, most countries pronounce Louis as Lou-is, certainly in central Europe and the US eg the city of St Louis is Missouri.

I've seen the spelling Louie in the UK if you want a more Anglophile version.
