Hi all, DD is due to arrive in a few weeks and DH and I still can’t settle on a name. Any opinions on our current (very extensive..) list of ideas or even any new suggestions very welcome!

Isabel - nice but popular, she'll probably become Izzy which is nice but you may not like it
Amelie - nice but again overdone
Lara - no
Sasha - no
Maia - no, she'll be asked how to spell her name or pronounce it
Francesca - nice
Cecily - ok, think it will date
Maeve - as above
Charlotte - timeless classic, love Lottie
Anna - another classic, lovely
Harriet- love it, biased as have one but she always go by Hattie

I absolutely adore Pippa and the meaning but unfortunately it doesn’t translate so well in Italian!! Would have loved to use it but just couldn’t burden her with that should she ever choose to work/study there

My 2 girls our Hattie and Pippa which is why I suggested it as you've got a similar taste to me.

We were put off at first for the same reason but only ever heard of this on here, never in real life. Have been abroad with no problems. So I wouldn't let this totally put you off. Only ever had positive comments on it.

My Pippa is Philippa on birth certificate so she has options as she gets older if she wants.
