Silver tabby boy, half his tail missing, very masculine, very handsome, but gentle.

Give me a name that sums all that up.

And I've thought of bobtail already

My cats were called Rufus and Clive

skyatnight · 27/03/2008 14:39

Friends of mine had sibling cats. One set of brother and sister were called Pinot and Shiraz. Another were called Benson and Hedges. These theme-names don't work for single cats though.

I've been trying to meditate on the themes of silver (Sixpence? Spence for short?), and masculine but gentle but no further inspiration.

skyatnight · 27/03/2008 14:44

I still quite like 'Arfa' and Mackerel/Mac (fits with the silver colour?), though.

dinny · 27/03/2008 19:04

no, Jackson as in Pollock, pmsl

Atticus?
Bill (as in Clinton, he is a bit of a silver fox)

cazzybabs · 27/03/2008 19:09

apillar or astrophe

ally90 · 27/03/2008 19:39

Bill Clinton...a silver fox...

Pollock? Isn't that a fish? Can see the connection...prefer Mackeral....

Thanks for suggestions GGM (like Monty alot) and Laundryfairy (like Clarence too

I have let my dd decide (23.5 mths)....read out the suggestions and she chose...............

Harry. As in Harry Potter. Not on list... original choice.

How do I know which kitten she meant (we watch Tom kitten/simpkin pussy cat from BP and they and the kitten to come all get confused) because when we went to see the kittens the other day, one fell and banged her head...so when I asked what she wanted to call the kitten...I read out some names to her...she said 'bang! head! harry kitten'...

Me: 'you want the kitten to be called harry? Not alfie or merlin or etc etc...?' (in cajoling way)

dd: 'No, harry' short but determined nod of head.

So his official name will be Bang Head Harry Kitten is it a good idea to let a not yet 2 year old decide?

Thank you all for your suggestions
