All pretty names! But in terms of matching, I think 1 & 3 seem to roll of the tongue better :) Neve Olivia, lily isabella

NineofPopes · 14/03/2024 08:52

Niamh Olivia, but spelled that way. The others sound too fussy with the combination of ‘s’ and ‘l’ sounds.

Twirlypoos · 14/03/2024 08:56

Niamh Olivia

DuchessOfSausage · 14/03/2024 08:57

Neve Olivia - don't like Neve
Sienna Lily - a brown flower?
Lily Isabella - too many Ls but middle names aren't used much
Isabella (Issy) Lily - don't like Issy. Too many Ls. Sounds like a Knock knock joke

Lovely name ideas!

My favourite from your list is Lily Isabella - Lily is short, simple, pretty, easy to spell, and I think works well for all ages.

I think Isabella is my second favourite- a lovely name but very overused where I live.

Sienna is another nice name, just a bit more “trendy” sounding than Lily or Isabella, so it depends if that’s what you want?

Neve - I really like the sound, it’s just the spelling issues that would put me off.

It one small social group we have three Isabellas paired with Lily. That's a third of the club. Neve just looks as if you can't spell. It's Niamh. Sienna is the best of the choices.

17caterpillars1mouse · 14/03/2024 09:38

I like Niamh Olivia best by far but only with this spelling

There are lots of Sienna's at my dds school and they all seem a bit bratty / badly behaved so that's what I associate Sienna with

I like Isabella but it never seems to suit the children I meet named it and they are all Bella or Izzy anyway. I personally prefer the simplicity of Isobel instead.

Lily is OK just a bit done to death

DontGiveADuck · 14/03/2024 10:18

Not a fan of Sienna it feels a bit pretentious but a few years back it felt like every baby I knew was a Sienna.

Lily has been done to death.

Niamh Olivia - So long as your surname doesn't make her initials spell something like NOB!

Gosh, I’d see Sienna as the reverse of ‘pretentious’ — quite downmarket in naming terms…?

DuchessOfSausage · 14/03/2024 11:05

@NineofPopes , I agree. It seems faddy, and I only think of the colour.

TheBirdintheCave · 14/03/2024 11:13

From these choices I'd pick Niamh Olivia.

Amdone123 · 14/03/2024 11:18

Another vote for Niamh Olivia

Mumofgirls2017 · 14/03/2024 13:00

Lily Isabella

Underhisi · 14/03/2024 13:18

Niamh Olivia or use Olivia as the first name.

Theoldwoman · 14/03/2024 13:20

Lily Isabella was my grandmother born in 1897, so I’m going with this.

CharlieBoo · 14/03/2024 15:01

Niamh Olivia is the nicest from your list. Lily is everywhere and so boring. Will be the new Louise in 20 years time

miniaturepixieonacid · 14/03/2024 22:09

I like Neve Olivia best. And I disagree that you should spell it Niamh if you don't want to. Neve is a separate, recognised alternative with, I think, a slightly different meaning (Snow rather than Bright, I think).

I also like Isabella Lily. Issy Lily sounds a bit odd but they wouldn't really be said together and I love Issy as a nickname for Isabella.

AdventuresAwait · 14/03/2024 22:14

Neve Olivia is lovely!
