I know I'm having a boy and I think my top name is:

.......Callum..........

I'm trying to keep everyone happy - DH wants something none religious. parents would prefer something REALLY relgious and preferably Irish

I like the 'older' names - Harry, Jack, Alfie, Freddie but as I have a very 'common' name I'd like something which isn't 'the most popular name' 2008...

What does everyone think?

Thanks - I love Liam, but DH doesn't (reminds him of Liam Gallagher) and Ross is out because, well, DH is just a little bit TOO like Ross from friends!!!

Aero - Re. Rory: it would be hugely insensitive of me and I wouldn't even go there...

I tihnk we'll settle on Callum!

Absolutely right not to use a name that would be hugely insensitive to anyone I agree, no matter how much you like it, so it looks like Callum is a good choice. (course, it's very possible that in the case of our ds1 (R), we had two other completely different names in mind, and on the day he arrived, neither of them suited him and R was just pulled out of the air really. We hadn't even considered it! It just came into my head as I was gazing at him and it seemed to fit iyswim.
