dd would have been Archie if she had been a boy. Nearly used Lorna and Sadie.

PaulaYsbiggestfan - I did consider the name Sylvia for girl - after Sylvia Plath (my fave poet) and it also means 'from the forest', which I thought was nice. DH liked it for a while then changed his mind.

Thomas was in the running for both dses. ds1 would probably have been Alexander had his name not occurred to us - Alexander is now his second middle name. We also thought about Julian.
If ds2's name had not ocurred to us he might well have been Leo. I also liked Benedict and Matthias.

If ds1 had been a girl he would have been Sophia. ds2 would have been Helena.

DS would probably have been Imogen had he been a girl.

dizzy! I am very good at over riding dp's name choices

he just says 'yes' to 99% of the odd names i chuck at him atm

no doubt when it is born he will be a wee bit more picky!

we both agreed on dd1 but poor dd2 had a succession of names for about 4days until she had a name we kind of settled on

goodness knows what we'll be like for this one - may just go with dd1's choices of

pinkey for a girl
bluey for a boy

Amelia was nearly Ruby which I dislike now and would not have suited her.If she was a boy then she would have been Hugo.
Bruno was always Bruno (dh is full sicilian so allowed lol)Did love Magnus and well all names ending in 'us frankly!
Eleanora was nearly Alberta or Claudia and if a boy Fabian or Raffaele.

DD's name was decided almost from the start but if she was a boy she'd have been William or Balthazar (if I had my way). or maybe Lorcan (although DH would never have agreed to the last 2)

DS could have been William again but again his name was decided quite easily and quite early on. if a girl he could have been Evangeline, Marina or Rosalind
