Which name do you prefer?

We do not care about popularity, so this is not an issue for us at all.

Joseph is a family name so this is not subject to change.

Thanks everyone. It looks like half and half. Great!!

If we go for Jude Joseph he will definitely NOT be JJ. Yeuk!

I worry about Jude being a bit celeb-y? A bit Keira/Sienna iykwim.

Love the nick-name Fin for Finlay. I didn't know it's a girls' name too?? I've just checked on loads of name sites and nowhere does it say it's female. I've been told Jude is girly too. Humph.

Ellen, think Jude is more boyish than girly, but it would be cute on a girl! It was only the celeb thing that put me off. Otherwise, its my very favourite boys name

i love fin even more

dd would have been finn (irish version)

I have a friend who's DS is Jude (nearly 4) - just texted her and she said she has never had a Jude Law comment; just a few 'hopeless causes' ones (patron Saint of) but she quite likes that

Finlay Joseph for me, always liked the name finlay.

kitson08 · 24/03/2008 22:29

Joseph Finlay

Also, there's 'Finley the Fire Engine' now. It may not bother you at all but DS has a friend Finlay (gorgeous boy) and it really winds his mum up!! (and I do want to sing the theme tune at him )

Jude is lovely, so is Joseph, but I'm not entirely sure about the 'J' 'J' combination. I'm afraid I don't like Finlay.
