Opinions on Zara?

I’m due my first baby in May and currently our favourite is Zara? Only thing that concerns me slightly is the shop association but I don’t think that will matter really.

Also, does anyone have any middle name suggestions? We’re leaning towards Zara Felicity but not 100%

The other name we like is Aurora but starting to feel that it might be too popular now as I have been seeing it a lot.

Zara is really cute and I wouldn’t worry one bit about the shop. Aurora is gorgeous too and I love the nn Rori for a girl!

Zara is timeless and classic and not too try hard like Aurora.

Zena is also another classic girls name beginning with Z.

I much prefer Zara to Aurora, although in terms of popularity I don't think there's much in it.

Zara is cool, sparky. Aurora is wet and Disneyfied. Also a nightmare to say for those with speech impediments.

I also love Lara, as an alternative to Zara.

To go against the grain, I do really like Aurora.

love Zara though!

KirstenBlest · 22/02/2024 11:40

@RosaSkyes , why is it going against the grain. You mean going against the flow or majority not against the grain.

RosaSkyes · 22/02/2024 11:45

@KirstenBlest ok!

Naptrappedmummy · 22/02/2024 11:52

I LOVE Zara and it was on my list for DC2 who turned out to be a boy. Aurora/Aria type names are really dull now.

KirstenBlest · 22/02/2024 11:52

@RosaSkyes , sorry, was being pedantic, but I find it confusing.
If you said GATG Aurora but only because I can't stand Zara, it would make sense.

FWIW I stwuggle with my Rs so Aurora doesn't work for me. I can get away with Zara.

The shop association of Zara is a major put off.

Aurora is Disney and awkward to say, - would be shortened to Rorah.

I would say think again.
