There's a surprising (to me) amount of people on here would choose an Irish name for a girl but an Anglicised name for a boy. Is that a common thing with Irish families that I just haven't seen before? My extended family have sibling sets with either all Irish or all English names, no one has a mix within the same nuclear family.
