Any thought anyone?

I love both names but am a bit torn so any and all opinions welcome

My honest opinion - Isaac is nice but not as unusual as it was a few years ago. Jared is Not Good - apologies to any mums of Jareds - sure your sons are lovely

BrownSuga · 14/03/2008 16:56

Love Isaac, but not t'other

spiderpig · 14/03/2008 16:56

No mrsruffallo one is a very stupid typing error on my part (Issac instead of Isaac) and the other is my DH's apparently rather silly spelling of the name (Jarred instead of Jared)

Neither of which spellings are being used after this thread

(Sorry, am having a funny half hour)

mrsruffallo · 14/03/2008 16:59

Okay, spiderpig, just checking
I know a Jared, I really like it
Isaac I am not sue about

RosaIsRed · 14/03/2008 17:00

That's it MrsR! She can call him Sue!

mrsruffallo · 14/03/2008 17:01

LOL just read through this thread. I guess you are regretting those spellings now LOL

Walnutshell · 14/03/2008 17:01

MrsR, we seem to be in the minority on Jared. But I do like it.

Got any others on the list spider?

BibiThree · 14/03/2008 17:01

Isaac. No competition imo.

spiderpig · 14/03/2008 17:03

Oooh a boy named Sue .....my dad the Johnny Cash fan would love that

spiderpig · 14/03/2008 17:06

There are a few other names I like Walnutshell and some that Dh does but very few we agree on lol!

Any thoughts on Elijah anyone?

(Oh I do so hope I've spelt that one right )

Isaac is a fine name, not Jared though, it has hick connotations for me.

HowlingCow · 14/03/2008 17:11

I like Isaac as can be shortened to Zac. Know a great Isaac (13)-he's really outdoorsy with a cheeky face!

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 14/03/2008 17:17

I like Jared!

bobsmum · 14/03/2008 17:18

I like Elijah!

Walnutshell · 14/03/2008 17:19

Elijah is ok, but again isn't it getting popular? I still like Jared. If it is unusual enough you will find that people only associate it with your child and the name takes on his/her characteristics. So of course, as your child will no doubt be lovely, most people will like the name!

We have a fairly unusual name for ds and have received many compliments and it really is 'his' name.

mrsruffallo · 14/03/2008 17:21

Ahoy there walnut shell!!

Walnutshell · 14/03/2008 17:23
