For a boy- Julius, Angelo, Alejandro,Mateo.
I don't have Italian/Spanish roots, I myself have a name of European origin.
I know some people dislike using names of cultures they have no connection to, but I think it's more and more common and widely accepted now.
Girls- Anna/Annie, Elizabeth, Adeline (though pronunciation could get frustrating), Katherine (Kate for short or Katie).

I know my boys and girls' names are a completely different style, I don't know why!

I like Julius and Adeline.

I mostly chose names that align with our roots, but two of my children have Japanese names, which is so far from our roots it could be ridiculous, so I placed them as middle names instead. One of them goes by that name primarily. I don't think your choices are so out-there you couldn't use them openly or have any trouble with pronunciation.

Thanks a lot!

Adeline is just lovely. I also like matfeo, I've met a few that had no European heritage

Julius and Anna.

You’re highly unlikely to be pronouncing Angelo or Alejandro properly.

babysharkdoodoodedoodedoo · 16/11/2023 22:27

I love Julius and Angelo. Both perfectly usable! I love Annie and Anna is okay, Elizabeth and Katherine and Adeline are all lovely too! I’d probably use Kitty and a nickname for Katherine though, so cute.

I'm a Spanish speaker so I know the correct pronunciation of them, thanks for the answers!

Sorry, but your boy's names would be quite odd for a white kid with no Italian/Spanish roots whatsoever. I don't know if they would appreciate it growing up, honestly.

atthebottomofthehill · 16/11/2023 22:38

The boys names are a bit out there if you are not Spanish/european. Mateo you could probably get away with. Julius too although I don't like it. Lucas? That's popular on the continent, like Mateo.

Adeline is lovely.

I love all your boys’ names ending in ‘o’. Elizabeth is my favourite girl’s name from your choices.

peaceinourtime · 17/11/2023 09:44

Mateo is a nice name

DuchessOfSausage · 17/11/2023 12:45

Julius, Angelo, Alejandro, Mateo.
Of those, Julius or Mateo. I wouldn't know how to say Angelo or Alejandro.
Mateo is a bit naff if you're not from that culture.
Not keen on Julius.

Anna/Annie - great
Elizabeth - great but will get shortened
Adeline - Add-a- line, Aydeleen, Adda-leen? Don't like it
Katherine (Kate for short or Katie) - great

cheleuh · 17/11/2023 12:48

Mateo & Anna are lovely.

mariamariaaaa · 17/11/2023 13:09

I think Julius and Mateo (Matteo?) are commonly used by non-Italians/non-Spanish now, I guess Angelo could be too but to me that come across a bit try-hard? Alejandro to me would be a step too far away culture-wise. Have you considered Giulio (or Giulia)? I think that's a great name.

I don't really like Adeline for seeming overly "fashionable" and the pronunciation isn't clear. The other girl names are all beautiful and classic (Anna and Elizabeth perhaps more so than Katherine).

SkaneTos · 19/11/2023 01:16

All the names on your list are lovely!

If your son is named Angelo or Alejandro, I would assume that you have Spanish/Central American/South American roots.
