Middle name for Penelope Richardson

We can't decide on a middle name for Penelope Richardson. I think keeping it short to balance out the two longer names would sound the best. I really like "Rae" or "Rose", but don't know whether it goes with our surname.

Jane was the first name to come to mind, and gives the option for her to be PJ too (as do the other J names suggested of course).

Love Rae, especially as her name can be shortened to Penny Rae and with Richardson on the end she'll have a proper kick ass name . It sounds edgy and cool .

Use family names, the GPs and your DD will love it. I got a 'filler' middle name and my siblings all have family middle names, the family names have much more meaning.

When I saw your title my first thought was Rae, followed Claire.

Every other little girl’s second name is Rae or Rose at the minute - pick something unique! They’re both along the same lines as Mae, Grace etc. Just boring and overused filler names. Rae also means female sheep in Hebrew so not quite sure why you’d want to name your daughter after that..

Penelope is gorgeous, pick her something that does it justice

Not Joy. It's another filler middle name and a lot to live up to.

Use your mum's name or something.

Penelope Susan or Penelope Catherine or whatever

I'd go with one or two syllables. My immediate thought was Alice, which I think flows quite nicely.

You could ho with both of the family names. As a person who was born in the Jane/Louise era, don't go with those!

I do like Alice mentioned above a few times.

I would avoid an R name as lots of kids struggle with R's, so it's a lot to try and pronounce.
