It's not to my taste, but I do actually know of two who are both primary age. I prefer Shay, personally. Shane feels a bit dated.

I like it! It's a well-known name that is easy to spell, but the child is not likely to have multiples with the name in school or work. It also sounds nice and soft without being "wet".

I think it's nice. It will at least differentiate him in his future class of 10 Alfies, 10 Theos and 9 Olivers
