These are absolutely not names I would ever go for usually (my dcs names are abit out there) but actually, I think they are really cute 💜and sound good together

BarnacleBeasley · 09/10/2023 16:42

I think Margot and Adeline go well together as they have kind of a similar feel while being totally different names.

BoohooWoohoo · 09/10/2023 16:42

Feel sorry for Monroe. I think that you'll be asked if you like Marilyn?

Reddog1 · 09/10/2023 16:42

Margot is gorgeous and classy. Your other girl deserves a gorgeous and classy name also.

Avoid a matchy-matchy name. Their twin-ness doesn’t define them.

RandomButtons · 09/10/2023 16:42

Why do they have to have same initials? Their. Life will be much simpler with different initials.

SoupDragon · 09/10/2023 16:42

Ladady · 09/10/2023 16:41

Ok thank you. The other choice was Anastasia or Adeline for one of them

Far better than Monroe!

Everydayimhuffling · 09/10/2023 16:43

Margot goes with either of the others without being too matchy.

thaegumathteth · 09/10/2023 16:43

Either of the A names are better than Monroe tbh.

Just sticking my nose in with my suggestions of Margot and

Felicity
Genevieve
Cecily
Harriet

HolyMilkBoobiesBatman · 09/10/2023 16:44

Margot is beautiful, Monroe is not to my taste, sorry.

Also, I know you didn’t ask but just my thoughts - siblings with the same initial tend to get mixed up a lot, that will happen even more so if they are twins (particularly if identical- you haven’t said if they are). I would just think carefully about giving them a bit more individuality or they may grow to resent it (they are likely to be bundled together as ‘the twins’ enough as it is). You could do something like Margot and Winnie for example - not rhyming, not the same initial but the M/W sort of mirror imaging each other is a nice touch if having a sort of matching link is important to you whilst still giving your children a bit more of an individual identity.

Margot is nice. Monroe is God awful!

Definitely don't go for the same initial, Adeline sounds lovely with Margot

bellsandwhistles333 · 09/10/2023 16:45

Margot and Adeline are beautiful together

VickyEadieofThigh · 09/10/2023 16:45

Just agreeing with not giving twins the same initial on their first names - throws up problems later, as others have mentioned.

I had friends who were brothers born 3 years apart and both had the initials D R for their first and middle names. It caused them no end of bother.

ConchitaSmith · 09/10/2023 16:45

Margot and Adeline are gorgeous.

tulipsunday · 09/10/2023 16:47

Yes to Margot and Adeline

PureAmazonian · 09/10/2023 16:48

Ladady · 09/10/2023 16:41

Margot and Adeline ❤️

Halfemptyhalfling · 09/10/2023 16:49

Would be better to have names with a theme rather than very similar names or names that start with same letter as then you can use initials to differentiate eg lunch boxes eg
Margot and Penelope ( Margot in the good life was played by Penelope Keith)
Monroe and Lloyd ( both surnames)

ErinAndTonic · 09/10/2023 16:50

Monroe is absolutely grim. Sorry!

Fairospop22 · 09/10/2023 16:50

Adeline is beautiful. I would avoid Margot as I think that will be a popular name due to the barbie movie and would avoid Monroe as I hate surname names for first names

ildaogden · 09/10/2023 16:50

I always think ahead, when they are school age. M and M's or double aa batteries would be a no from me sorry

slowsundays · 09/10/2023 16:51

Monroe is awful.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/10/2023 16:51

I wouldn't do shared initials. At some point the post will be to Miss M Ladady and you won't know who's is whose.

Margot is nice, Monroe is awful

Scutterbug · 09/10/2023 16:51

Margot and Adeline go well together I think.

LemonLight · 09/10/2023 16:52

Margot is lovely, Monroe is not to my taste. I love Anastasia, you can shorten that to Ana too. Not sure what you could shorten Margot to .. apart from Marge which just makes me think of the Simpsons! 😂 you might not want to have a shorten option though!

Robinbuildsbears · 09/10/2023 16:53

Two girls with the same initials born on the same day can be a nightmare for a bunch of computer systems apparently. Give them more individual names, they're separate people.
