I named my first daughter Quinn and love idea of having unisex names, I think Cole is quite a modern and trendy name for a girl and would like other opinions.

Not a fan. I guess you could call her Nicole, and Cole for short? Just a thought.

No. Grim and dour. She won't thank you for it.

Don't like it at all, for a boy or a girl, just makes me think of lumps of coal.

There's plenty of much nicer unisex names eg

Blake
Rowan
Cameron
Noa
Robyn
Dakota

Bearcub101 · 08/10/2023 11:30

No it’s horrid!

Superhair · 08/10/2023 11:34

No. It’s not a particularly nice sound for a name and makes me think of a piece of coal.

Deadringer · 08/10/2023 11:38

Cole is awful. Blake is a good suggestion, it works better with Quinn. Or what about Harley? 😉

grayhairdontcare · 08/10/2023 11:45

Goodness, WHY would you? There are dozens of nice unisex names.

CurlewKate · 09/10/2023 05:52

All the "unisex" names your are suggesting are actually boy's names. There are no unisex names-only boys names used for girls.

How about Quinn and
Cass
Dale
Lexie

pinkdelight · 10/10/2023 06:06

Going against the grain I love it but mainly as I once had a (female) hairdresser called Cole who was lovely and beautiful so that's how I think of it.

kelce · 10/10/2023 06:09

I know a girl Colson, she is fab

Champsandbubbles · 24/10/2023 01:37

No, not unisex IMO

user1492757084 · 24/10/2023 04:14

Out of all the names in the world? Cole? Seriously?

And that applies for either sex.

I have an American friend with two DDs called Bryce and Elliott (Ellie), if I can interest you in either of those…?

Zola1 · 07/10/2023 22:38

Don't like Cole and never heard it on a girl

I love Blake like another poster suggested.. also Rory, Riley, Asher, Ellis, Maddox or Luca might fit your brief

Those are traditionally boys names. Luca is very definitely a boys name, unless you would be happy calling a girl Luke.

Cole is a surname.

StrangePaintName · 24/10/2023 06:46

Cole is about as unisex as Tom.

SneezyEvie · 24/10/2023 08:18

Not for a girl, sorry.

peaceinourtime · 24/10/2023 14:26

I love Darrell. James is also nice for a girl

whatausername · 24/10/2023 15:31

Shit ugly but if you must you must

DemBonesDemBones · 24/10/2023 18:51

Not a single person on mumsnet will like it because only top 10 boring names are acceptable here, but I love it op!

The point about being trendy is that trends always go out of fashion. That's literally what they do!

No.
