Was about to say exactly the same! I like them all other than Mah and Jun. Some very pretty choices. Some are more English than others so I suppose it depends if you want an obvious Arab name, and some will sound very much like other English names so could get easily mixed up or misspelled. I like Nala best.

cheezncrackers · 04/09/2023 15:44

They're all nice, apart from Mah, which I don't think works well in the UK. Ma = an old-fashioned name for mother. I know a Korean Jun (pronounced June, like the month).

murasaki · 04/09/2023 15:44

Se re Mah and Jun. What about Leila?

JanesBlond · 04/09/2023 15:44

I like them all except Mah, Jun and Yara. Mah in particular just feels a bit unfinished in English. I would probably go for Anissa, Nala or Lina. Mariam is lovely but maybe a bit too popular, and I think Lylia and Aleyna will get misspelt.

I absolutely love Farah.

Almahart · 04/09/2023 16:27

I really love the name Soraya.

unvillage · 04/09/2023 20:18

Sahar is so lovely. I really like Mariam/Maryam too.

continentallentil · 04/09/2023 22:19

Absolutely love Maryam - fabulous name

Yara is great, but people may assume you are a GOT mega fan..

Anissa is ok

Aleyna - will be forever mistaken for Elena/Eleanor. Will be annoying

Isla - people will assume it’s the Scottish island name, which has been massively popular

Lylia, Nala, Nayla, Lina - inoffensive but a bit nothingy

Mah, Jun, Sahar - don’t think any of these will work well in the Uk

Elspethelf · 05/09/2023 05:34

Forgot to say, I chose Halima for my daughter

MerryChristmasToYou · 05/09/2023 10:45

Lylia - ok but too close to Lyla, Lily, Layla etc
Nala - ok
Nayla - not keen
Anissa - nice but I have a feeling it means something like 'Miss' or 'Lady'
Mariam/Myriam - Maryam?
Yara - ok
Lina (pronounced lee-na ) - ok, but Lena and Luna are popular
Aleyna - not sure
Mah - no
Jun - is it said as Joon? Not keen
Sahar - seems quite nice
Isla - Eye-la or Is-la? Too popular.

I'm not really familiar with the names or their meaning apart from Maryam.

I love all the names on your list, especially Nala.

I also love the name Habiba for a girl, you probably know it means loved one. I think this is nice for a middle name as well.
